Tholen – This summer, NOW Organic International introduced a new brand of its own: GO-NOW. This is a new line of organic juices. The ginger and turmeric juices are 100% pure juices without additives,” begins Hans Versteegh, one of the owners of NOW Organic International. These juices are ‘ready to mix’ and can be mixed as desired with, for example, water, tea, fruit juices and/or smoothies. The other 2 juices are ‘ready to drink’. We have a mix of mandarin juice with ginger and a mix of mandarin juice with turmeric. Delicious and healthy juices known for their spicy flavour sensation and their blood pressure-lowering, pain-relieving, purifying and anti-inflammatory effects, and which can also promote healthy digestion.”
NOW Organic grows and processes organic ginger in China. “We have been growing fresh ginger in China and importing it for some time now. In Dalian (northern China), we have our own factory, where we wash, dry and pack the ginger for transport to the Netherlands. Rob van Baal started this company in China in 2006 and is responsible for the day-to-day management there.”

In the Netherlands, Hans Versteegh takes care of selling fresh, organic ginger to various wholesalers. “For the last 3 years, we have also been pressing fresh ginger for the industry in the Netherlands. With the juice, we've now come full circle: we grow, we import and export, we press and bottle, and now we also have our own brand: GO-NOW. We sell the juices through wholesalers, so that they end up in hospitality venues such as beach bars and juice bars. Gyms, chemists, health food shops and regular retailers are also very enthusiastic about the launch of these new products.”
