About the products

What exactly is in it?

Pure Ginger Juice is 99.1% organic ginger juice and 0.9% organic lemon juice concentrate. Nothing else: no water, no sugar, no preservatives, no flavourings. The full ingredients list and nutritional values are on every product page.

Does it contain added sugar?

No. Pure Ginger Juice contains 0.8 g of sugar per 100 g, and that occurs naturally in the ginger root itself. We don't add anything.

Are all the juices 100% organic?

Yes, all Go Now juices are certified organic under SKAL number 027851. SKAL inspects everyone in the Netherlands who grows, processes or trades organic products. The ginger and turmeric grow in the Peruvian Andes on fields we manage ourselves.

Is water added?

No. What's in the bottle is pure pressed juice. That's also why it tastes so powerful.

Why is it so spicy?

Because it's almost entirely ginger. Pure ginger juice is a different product from ginger tea: it's sharp, and that's part of it. Want it milder? Drink it cold, dilute it with water, tea, orange or apple juice, or add a spoonful of honey. The Mandarin Ginger Shot (20% ginger, 80% mandarin) is the gentle way in.

The juice is cloudy and contains pulp. Is that right?

Yes, that's how it should be. Pure ginger juice is naturally a cloudy beige with visible pulp, because nothing has been filtered out. Shake the bottle well before use, especially for the last bit, otherwise it gets very strong. Do you see mould or does it smell fermented? Send a photo to info@go-now.eu and we'll check it straight away.

Does every bottle taste the same?

Almost. Ginger is a natural product and its sharpness can vary slightly from harvest to harvest. The composition stays the same.

Is there black pepper in the turmeric juice?

No. Many people know turmeric combined with black pepper, but how much pepper you like varies from person to person. That's why we leave it out: a twist of the pepper mill in your own glass and you decide for yourself.

Is it vegan?

Yes. All Go Now juices are 100% plant-based.

What's the difference from a supermarket ginger shot?

The percentage of ginger. Many supermarket shots contain just a few percent ginger, topped up with water, apple juice or sugar, and cost €0.50 to €1.50 per serving. Go Now Pure Ginger Juice is 99.1% ginger and costs around €0.20 a glass.

Why juice instead of pressing ginger yourself?

Because it's ready in ten seconds. No peeling, cutting or cleaning the slow juicer, no yellow stains on your worktop. And it's cheaper: one 750 ml bottle gives you around 60 to 70 glasses.

Use and dosage

How much should I take per day?

Allow 10 to 15 ml per glass/shot. Two to three times a day is fine. A bigger shot is fine too, of course.

If you have a sensitive stomach, start slowly and build up. Everything in moderation.

How do I use the Ready to Mix juices?

A splash neat as a shot, or mixed into tea, water, sparkling water, orange juice or a smoothie. If you're using hot water, keep it at 60 to 70 degrees rather than boiling. A spoonful of honey makes it gentler.

Do I need to shake the bottle?

Yes, always give it a good shake. The pulp sinks to the bottom, and without shaking, the last part of the bottle in particular becomes very strong.

How many glasses do I get from one bottle?

At 10 to 15 ml a time, a 750 ml bottle gives you around 60 to 70 glasses, about €0.20 a glass. A 200 ml bottle gives approx. 15.

Can I combine ginger and turmeric?

Yes, absolutely, together in one glass or alternating. If you're new, start with ginger: turmeric tastes more bitter and takes some getting used to.

Can children drink it?

Yes, it's an ordinary food with no additives. Bear in mind that pure ginger juice is spicy: give a smaller amount, diluted in tea or juice. If in doubt, check with your GP.

Can I drink it during pregnancy?

Our ginger juice is a food product, not a medicine. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, we recommend checking with your GP or midwife, as with anything you consume during that time.

I take medication. Can I drink this?

That's not something we can assess for you, and we don't want to either. Ginger can affect how some medicines work, blood thinners for example. Talk to your GP or pharmacist. It's pure organic ginger juice with no additives, which you can mention to them.

Storage and shelf life

How long does it keep?

Once opened, keep the bottle in the fridge and finish it within three weeks. Unopened, at least a year at room temperature, in a cool, dark place. The date is on the cap.

A bottle holds 60 to 70 glasses, but keeps for three weeks after opening. How does that work?

At three glasses a day you get through just over 60 glasses in three weeks, so a 750 ml bottle is just finished. If you drink one or two glasses a day, you'll have some left over. Two solutions: freeze the rest in an ice cube tray and take out what you need, or choose the 200 ml bottle, which is meant for people drinking on their own.

Can I freeze it?

Yes. Pour the juice into an ice cube tray and freeze it: one cube is roughly one serving. Once thawed, drink within two weeks. Never put an unopened bottle in the freezer, glass and freezing temperatures don't mix.

Does the bottle need to go in the fridge?

Not when unopened, room temperature is fine as long as the bottle is kept somewhere cool and dark. After opening, yes.

What is a pack?

A standard pack: 12 bottles of 200 ml, or 6 bottles of 500 or 750 ml. In our emails we also call this a tray. The more you order in one go, the lower the price per bottle.
